I started off with the pitted pewter casting of my cyclops brute. I chopped some bits out of the stomach area as it had too big a gut for what I was wanting.
I'm not at all happy with the pose but this guy is a bit of a trial with textures really.
So I made a special tool just for creating holes, as can be seen on this guys back. Basically I founf a big needle and sunk the pointy end into a small kebab skewer and then put some GS around it to keep it stuck. A nice makeshift tool it is as it works fairly well. I have another one but with pointy end out for really fine details. A few weeks ago I actually ended up picking this pointy one up by lodging it under my fingernail. Urgh, the thought of it still curls my toes.
Anyway here is the Crabman. Quite stocky. Much bigger than your regular 28mm sculpt.
Milliput base on it and the crabclaw on the front is just for me to see what it will look like for posing.

Sorry for the dodgy photo. Taken from my phone.
(Sitting atop "A Wise Man's Fear" which I have yet to read, great story so far) ;)
